10. Pudgy Penguins

Located in the freezing cold Antarctic region of the metaverse, Pudgy Penguins are a collection of 8888 cute penguins on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain. It launched last July and went viral in August 2021 when it was featured in a New York Times article. The original mint price was 0.03 ETH for one NFT, and the floor price has risen to 1.75 ETH. Possibly most impressively, these chubby little penguins already have a trading volume of 46,000 ETH for 4500 owners!

9. PUNKS Comics

Created by Pixel Vault, PUNKS comics is an NFT collection that allows holders to read and enjoy a real comic book.

The first ever PUNK comic ever produced was limited to only 10,000 editions and was released on May 10th, 2021. Fun fact: if you own one of the famous Issue#1 NFT, you can claim a physical copy of your NFT and get the actual comic book!

Released progressively, the cards can be used to create decks in order to fight other players. So far, there has been 382 NFT cards available to purchase, for more than 30,000 owners. Even though this large-scale project is still under development, the amount of hype around it is incredible as the 52,000 ETH trading volume can attest!

7. CrypToadz by GREMPLIN

Ribbit, ribbit! CrypToadz is a collection of 6969 small frogs made in pixel art, each with its own folklore. With an initial mint price of 0.089 ETH, the project blew up quickly to reach a floor price of 2.89 ETH. The collection’s main creator is renowned artist Gremplin, which increased the hype surrounding it. As of now, CrypToadz have a trading volume of 55,500 ETH.




Clone X is a collection of 20,000 next-gen Avatars made by RTFKT (now part of the Nike Corporation), designed from head to toe by the famous Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.

The collection is now part of a much bigger ecosystem, as RTFKT is currently developing new Metaverse products. After a rather chaotic public sale, the project finally sold out at the mint price of 2 ETH per NFT, rather than the expected 3. Clearly, the project is still very solid, as trading volume is currently at 57,000 ETH, which is enough to secure its spot at the 6th place on this list.

Because of their simple yet engaging design, Cool Cats are one of the most prominent NFT collections in the world. Apparently creating 9,999 randomly generated and stylistically curated NFTs is all it takes to conquer the NFT space! With am attractive floor price set at 11 ETH, Cool Cats holders can relax and enjoy the ride. No wonder the trading volume has increased to 69,000 ETH at the time of publication.

4. CryptoKitties

Yes, the CryptoKitties are another cat collection! This time, this cat-themed NFT is a fully fleshed-out game where you can breed and collect adorable kitties. Watch out, though these cute little cats are fast breeders, with 2 million kittens already put up for adoption! The NFT game counts more than 127,000 players for 70,000 ETH of trading volume.

The Meebits are 20,000 unique 3D voxel characters, created by LarvaLabs, the studio behind CryptoPunks. Through a no-fee integrated marketplace, the entire Meebits collection is available for trading directly on the LarvaLabs platform. You can also, like Pokemon cards, trade a Meebits for another Meebits, an interesting concept in the NFT world! So far, the collection has generated more than 80,000 ETH of trade volume.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club, more commonly known as BAYC, is the second most famous collection in the Non-Fungible-Token space. From Jimmy Fallon to Post Malone to even Timbaland, all kinds of celebrities aped into the Bored Ape Yacht Club. With a floor price around 74 ETH for a supply of 10,000 tokens, BAYC is definitely here to stay. Volume-wise, 316,300 ETH has been spent on the collection since its inception.

1. CryptoPunks

CryptoPunks is undoubtedly the most iconic and recognizable NFT collection in the world. Launched as a fixed set of 10,000 items in mid-2017, it became one of the inspirations for the ERC-721 standard. Countless collections saw the light of day because of the CryptoPunks, which is rightfully considered as the Bitcoin of NFTs.

As you probably guessed, buying a Punk isn’t cheap: the floor price is currently at 59.69 ETH ($210,000 USD), and the trading volume set new records in the industry, reaching a volume of 780,000 ETH (or roughly $2.5 billion USD)
